It does have built in shoulder pads that are not noticeable. It also runs small, i am 5'9 and usually wear large or size 12, so I had to order one size up (14) and it was a perfect fit.

The shoulder pads are the normal size that blazers have in today's fashion. The real issue is the narrow shoulders. The narrow shoulders throw the whole sizing issue off. I am average to athletic weight. So i am sure this is an issue for many women.

This blazer has thin shoulder pads, and the blazer runs a little small, but could be due to my gaining weight over holidays.

The shoulders have slight padding that is built in and it runs true to size.

size runs true and yes there is padding in the shoulders but not the old Linda Evans style pads that make you look like the hulk

I dont remember any pads so they must be very minimul. The jacket was the perfect fit for a 5.6 frame with slighly larger shoulders. The waist of the pants was big for someone with hips so they sit slighlty below my waist but I like it that way. I have been using these for recent interviews and they are perfect. Once ironed, they were AWESOME for me. Very classic

Yes, there are shoulder pads. The pads simply add a little structure, but are not overly noticeable. The jacket does run on the small side. I normally wear a 16 in suit jackets, but ordered an 18 (I paid attention to the reviews) and it fits perfectly...unless you like a closer fit in suit jackets.

my size is usually a 12 at Wal-Mart, I would go to the store, try on some of their working pants, and then go by the pants size. Because that's what i did, and I'm a twelve on both, and it fits perfect. And i have big hips and thighs. The blazer has shoulder pads, but they are not like too much of it, which is good for me because i don't like the blazer looking like a soldier blazer.

I believe so. I didn't get the pants, but I did get the George Career pencil skirt and it was the same material as the jacket. I think they are meant to go together, so the material should be the same.

Does the George Career Blazer match the George Career Pants?

I wear a size 18 and that's what I ordered. I am very happy with the fit. I am 5' 10" and 180 lbs. if that's any help.

This jacket has a very comfortable fit. You may wish to settle for a size 18. I'm certain that should you purchase the blazer, you will not be disappointed.

I usually wear a size 10 or 12 in tops, so I ordered this blazer in a size - 12 - since the reviews did say it ran small. Ths blazer fits me great. I would say that it may run just a smidge small, but it worked out perfect for me.

You may want to order the woman plus size to give you room..I order size 18 to give me room normally wear size 12..This jacket was a horrible fit through the body and arms. It does run small in my opinion

The nice thing is that there is usually a Walmart close if you need to return it. That was my thought process. I went ahead and got the size I would normally get and I was not disappointed. Yes, it is more tailored than a straight line blazer, so just keep that in mind. I have a blazer I paid A LOT more for and the quality is the same as the more expensive one.

THE BLAZER IS QUITE STYLISH AND I DO BELIEVE THE 16-18 WOULD FIT, I ORDERED AN 18 AND IT IS PERFECT! THAT IS MY NORMAL SIZE ALSO.

The blazer is really true to size, I wear a 16 so I ordered an 18 and I almost could of ordered A 16 you will have no problem with the size

Measuring across my bust and using the size chart provided, it worked for me. It is a snug fit, made of polyester, rayon and spandex.
